How to book a vehicle from Ahija?


You can book the vehicle of your choice through the following ways: 1. Download the Ahija Android App and book your required car, motorcycle or scooter from the app. This is the preferred way to book a vehicle from Ahija but sometimes, your booking may have various requirements like booking 4 to 5 bikes in bulk or you might need a mechanic or spare parts. In that case you can have a word with our bookings department on call or via mail and your booking will be customised accordingly. 2. You can call us on the our toll-free phone number 1800-123-3262 (for Indian users) or +91-7670-01-7670 (for International users). 3. You can also book via mail. Send us your requirements on contact@ahija.com and please do not forget to mention your booking details like (Name, Phone, Booking Dates, Vehicle Requirement) so we cn act faster.




What documents are required to rent a vehicle from Ahija?


Ahija is known for it's quick booking process. These are the documents that we seek: 1. Driving license (Indian or International). 2. Voter ID / Adhaar Card or any other proof of address.




What formalities will be there when I come for the vehicle pickup?


Ahija is known for it's quick booking process and delivery. When you come for the vehicle pickup, these are the things to keep in mind: 1. Get your driving license and ID proofs (Physical Copies). 2. Install the Ahija app on your mobile phone if possible.




Is there any security deposit?


If you are booking a motorcycle, there is no security deposit to be given. You just have to pay the rent / booking amount in advance and you can start your trip. In case of cars, there is a security deposit of ₹3000 (for smaller cars) and ₹5000 (for SUVs) which is 100% refundable immediately once you drop the vehicle back after your trip.




Is there any extra charge / distance limit or any per kilometer charge?


Nope. There is no distance limit. There is no per-kilometer charge. There are no hidden charges at all. There is nothing to worry!




What about the fuel?


Since there is no distance limit or per-kilometer charges, we do not offer fuel. Each vehicle that you book from us will have sufficient fuel to go a few kilometers to reach your nearest petrol pump / fuel station. You have to return the vehicle with the fuel it was given with (approx) and if for some reason, the vehicle has excess fuel while returning (during drop / trip end), there will be no refunds for fuel. Please fill your fuel accordingly.





Maintenance

How can I be sure about the condition of the vehicle?


You will get fully serviced vehicles. Ahija is the only self-drive rental company in Northeast India to have it's own maintenance division comprising of professionally hired experienced mechanics and testers who know their job well (no 3rd Party mechanics or tie-ups). Vehicles are mechanical beings and our Indian roads aren't very good either. Hence nothing is 100% fail safe. In those cases where you might face a breakdown or emergency, we have a dedicated Road Side Assistance team as well that will be there to provide you support and even a replacement vehicle if nessary when the need arises.




What will I do if the vehicle breaks down during my trip?


All our vehicles are well-maintained and fully serviced before giving them out on rent. But vehicles are mechanical beings and they might breakdown sometimes however rare it may be. In case of a break down, please inform us immediately on call at 1800-123-3262 or +91-7670-01-7670. If it's a minor issue, it is adviced to show a local mechanic quickly and get it fixed asap but only under your strict supervision. We will pay you the cost of the parts that you had to replace. If the issue is major or you do not want to take any risk with a 3rd party, we will send in our RSA team to your location in no time. We will either fix your vehicle or offer you a hand-to-hand replacement on spot if required.




Do you provide Road Side Assistance?


Yes we do! We have a dedicated Road Side Assistance Teamwho are always at standby for customer emergency, accidents or breakdown. Please call us at 1800-123-3262 or +91-7670-01-7670 and inform us immediately. We will send out our mechanics or provide you a replacement vehicle on the spot. We provide hand-to-hand replacements in the middle of the trip if the need arises.





B2B

Do you work with other trip managers or trip organisers?


Yes we do and we have been dong this since the very start. If you need to rent a fleet of bikes or cars from us for your customers, we are ready to give special asistance to you along with customised booking requirements if any. We can provide upto 80 bikes together for long distance trips if the need arrises. We have no shortage of bikes or cars. We do provide spare parts and even mechanics and tools for your trips as well, if you have such a requirement. Ahija provides all B2B bookings at very affordable prices compared to the competiton. The vehicle rental prices for B2B bookings will be much lower than what is being shown in the app.




Can we make a bulk-booking of vehicles?


Yes ofcourse! We can provide upto 80 bikes together for long distance trips if the need arrises. We have no shortage of bikes or cars. We do provide spare parts and even mechanics and tools for your trips as well, if you have such a requirement. You can book the bikes or cars in bulk from us, mention all the trip requirements like accessories, spare parts, mechanics or whatever may it be. We will make it happen and you will have our complete support.

Trip Changes

Can I reschedule my trip / dates for the booked vehicles?


Yes. Our booking policy is very flexible and we allow free-of-cost rescheduling of trips / booked dates for the rented vehicles. You have to pay the difference amount if any and your booking will be rescheduled as per your needs.




Can I extend my trip / booking?


Yes. As we said eariler, we are very flexible with our booking policy. You can easily extend your trip on call. There are no hidden charges for extension. You just need to pay the rent for the hours/days that you wish to be extended and then get busy tripping!




What happens if I arrive late?


Sometimes, our customers are late to drop the vehicle usually due to traffic congestion or bad weather. That's natural. Do not worry, there are no fines or hidden charges or penalties in case of late arrival. Your late arrival will be considered as a booking extension and you will have to pay the rent for the extended hours as you would pay in a regular extended booking scenerio. It is mandatory that you inform us about your late arrival on call or mail if you are going to be considerably late so we can manage our bookings accordingly and other customers do not face any late deliveries.
